Royale Wilderness Tented Safari Set Up

Our none-participatory, fully inclusive, family friendly safaris are a perfect opportunity for family getaways. With mobile tented safaris, we take our camp to where the wildlife is richest, using private and exclusive camp grounds. It is the ultimate safari experience as you are sharing the same space and breath as the wildlife around you both in the day and night. Beyond the sweet choruses of the wildlife, the sky above you is an endless mosaic of stars that mesmerizes one, while enjoying the warm glow of the camp fire.

Our passionate crew made up of a bush Chef, waiter and tent stewards, complete the camping experience by setting up the camp, doing your laundry, making up your beds, preparing your meals and moving the camp on moving days. With the camp chores taken care of, your part is to enjoy the camping experience, and the wildlife you have come to see as best as you can.

Sahara Deluxe Tents

Our Sahara Deluxe tents are 6m x 2.4m, with a sleeping area of 4.2m x 2.4m, and a shower and Toilet extension of 2.4m x 2m. The toilet is a traditional short drop and a canvas bucket shower that hangs from a steel pole, filled by our dedicated crew before shower time.

With the larger space in the tents, we can set up our beds to accommodate double sleeping arrangements and twin arrangements. Each bedside has a battery powered lamp, and a small table. Bedrolls are complete with white cotton linen, duvets and a blanket/s depending on the time of the season, 2 towels and a facecloth. A bar of soap is provided in the shower area. Our dedicated crew is in charge of laying out this exquisite camp, and setting.

The Mess tent is the central area of our camp and where all the meals are served, with the exception of the early morning breakfast, that is ussually served by the fire. In the Mess tent there is always a tea station and a bar. Guests can help themselves to both whenever they choose, and it is ussually where guests spend most of the day between activies.

Meals are carefully prepared by our experinced bush chefs, over open fire especially bakes and roast. Mid day meals are mostly a hot platter and a selection of salads, while the dinners are a three course affair. There is always an afternoon tea, served with bakes, time allowing or cookies to start kick start the afternoon game drive.

The day ussually ends with a small snack, a Gin tonic or chilled wine at sunset. These sundowners are a tradition but, at times must be forgone in favour of interesting wildilfe activity elsewhere. There is never any problems with reaching inside the fridge for a cold one though.
